Teach your Child Right Brain Education at Home

Flashing cards are part of the right brain exercises practiced in right brain education schools, such as the Shichida and Heguru Method, whether in a classroom setting or at home.

The founder of The Shichida Method, Professor Makoto Shichida, believes that to train the right side of the brain, you must flash cards as fast as possible (minimum below one second).

Below are how to teach your baby or toddler Shichida Flashcards & Heguru flashcards:

  • For starters, you can flash at least 100 to 200 cards per lesson. You may gradually increase this number when your child requests. Do not force your child to do more.

  • You should flash the same 100 to 200 cards for at least 2 weeks before you move on to the new set of cards.

  • As you flash the cards gradually increase your speed of flashing.

  • Shichida does not set a "grade" or "level" in their lessons because Shichida believes that every child has unlimited potential. This means you can flash any flash cards of any "level" or difficulty. Please do not underestimate your child.

  • At the end of the session, kiss, hug and praise your child. This is to encourage and motivate your child.

Remember, flashing the cards at high speed activates the right brain. Ensure you have various flash cards so your child won't get bored.

Here are a few of the subjects that Shichida Method emphasizes:

  • Math Dots Flashcards: Random and Organise

The use of Math Dots Flashcards is a fundamental component of the Shichida flash cards Method, designed to help children grasp mathematical concepts in a visually stimulating and engaging manner. These flashcards incorporate a unique approach that combines both random and organized presentations of numbers, allowing children to develop their numerical understanding in a flexible way. By exposing them to various arrangements of dots that represent different quantities, children can enhance their ability to recognize patterns, improve their mental math skills, and foster a deeper comprehension of mathematical relationships.

  • Equations: Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication

The Shichida Method places a strong emphasis on foundational arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Through interactive and enjoyable activities, children learn to solve equations using a variety of techniques that cater to their unique learning styles. This approach not only builds confidence in their mathematical abilities but also encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By integrating these essential operations into fun games and exercises, the method helps to instill a love for mathematics from an early age.

  • Vocabulary / Children Flashcards

Vocabulary development is crucial in the early stages of learning, and the Shichida Method utilizes specialized children flashcards to enhance language acquisition. These flashcards feature a diverse array of words, images, and concepts that are designed to expand a child's vocabulary in a meaningful context.

By engaging with these Shichida flashcards, children can improve their language skills, enhance their reading comprehension, and develop effective communication abilities.

The method encourages active participation and repetition, which are essential for reinforcing new vocabulary and ensuring retention.

  • Image Eye Training

Image Eye Training is another innovative aspect of the Shichida Method, focusing on the development of visual memory and cognitive processing skills.

This training involves a variety of exercises that challenge children to observe and recall images, enhancing their ability to retain visual information.

By practicing these skills, children can improve their concentration, attention to detail, and overall cognitive function.

This training not only supports academic success but also prepares children for everyday tasks that require strong visual recall and interpretation.

  • Alpha Music

Alpha Music is an integral part of the Shichida Method, designed to stimulate brain development through auditory experiences. This type of music is specifically composed to promote relaxation and focus, creating an optimal learning environment for children. By listening to Alpha Music, children can enhance their concentration, reduce stress, and improve their overall cognitive performance. The method advocates for the incorporation of music into daily routines, as it can significantly enhance learning outcomes and foster a love for music and rhythm in young learners.

Happy Teaching!
